Configuring the report type

Which of the available report types (what base values at what intervals over how long period) are to be used in the current template can be set with the menu option Template/Configure. Once a template has been created it can be used, for instance, for a daily report of hourly values as well as for a monthly report of daily values. You choose what report you want using the buttons in the central area of the window.

If the archive structure is changed, then the template must be kept updated by these changes. This only concerns the archive structure, however, and not the data point list. Thus new data points for DP types that already exist can be adopted immediately in the template without updating.

The check box Print preview after creation of report allows to decide whether it will be automatically switched into the print preview mode after the report is created.

The changes of created reports can be archived and presented in an excel sheet. This behavior can be set by ticking the Log changes check box. The highlighting settings of the changes can be configured in the window "Highlight Changes". This can be opened in the "Review -> Track Changes -> Highlight Changes" menu. Tick in this window the option "Track changes while editing". The individual sheets cannot be protected against changes (this sheet protection will only be activated when the changes should not be tracked).

The colors of marking minimum and maximum you can select in a dialog. Click to the colored button to open the dialog:

Protocol Protection

As a default the table leaf security is activated for each report, meaning that the values are read only. The table security is protected with your report password. Through menu Format>Cell>Protection tab > Option Locked , you can deactivate the table security for individual columns (meaning that you can write and edit each cell).
