Notes and restrictions

This chapter describes important notes and restrictions regarding the BIRT tool:

• HTTPS cannot be used with the free version of BIRT. The config entry httpsPort = 443 is set by default. Therefore, specify another port by using the config entry httpPort.

• When defining the data point element parameter of a function, no configs are allowed (for example, ExampleDP.value:_original.._value cannot be used). You can, however, specify a data point element, for example, ExampleDp.value.

• Scheduling is not supported

• Dashboarding of live data is not supported

• Only historical data can be queried
