Dynamic Colors - Blinking

WinCC OA allows to assigncolors to alert states in order to display dangerous situations understandable and consistent. The utilizable color representations allow a static color display as well as blinking between two or more colors.

According to different international guidelines (VDI 3699, DIN 19235, …) mostly the priority of the alert will be displayed through the color and the current alert state through the blinking frequency.

The alert state colors are assigned in the alert class. The alert handling of WinCC OA allows to evaluate the valid alert state color at the moment and to pass it to the display.

Figure 2. Color Selector- Selection and Manual Definition of Dynamic Colors (Blinking)

You can use the color selector through the wizard of simple configuration as well as with scripting. If the state does not require acknowledgement or doesnot need to be displayed, the object will be shown in the original color - this is the color that was used when creating the object. You can select dynamic colors (blinking colors) per name in the color selector or define them manually.
