Redundancy in the emergency mode

To leave the emergency mode in a redundant system (both nodes in the emergency mode) with uninterrupted operation, proceed as follows:

  • Stop the node A. Take care that there is enough disk space on the disks monitored by host A.

  • Set the DATA manager of node B to split mode with -dbg setSplitMode

  • Start the node A again. The node starts in the split mode.

  • Set the node A to SplitActive mode through the system overview panel.

  • Stop the node B. Take care that there is enough disk space on the disks monitored by host B.

  • Set the node A to redundant mode through the system overview panel.

  • Start the node B. This node now recovers.

CAUTION: A redundant project does not start if the other system is in backup or emergency mode.
