Requirements

  • Correctly installed WinCC OA version.
  • To modify the NGA settings, the WinCC OA user needs the authorization level (bit) 4.
  • For the supported databases InfluxDB®, PostgreSQL® and MS SQL®, see chapter Software requirements.

    Note: When re-creating an already created new project for NGA by using the WCCOAtoolCreateDB, the config entry "useNGA = 1" must be removed from the config file as WCCOAtoolCreateDB starts ValueArchive internally and does not expect an NGA project.
Notice: When using NGA in projects with high a database load it is recommended to run the database remotely, e.g. DB Installation - InfluxDB® on a remote system
