Input options

CAUTION: Note that the option -langlist can only be used to export the database in a specific language. When you import the database, the language entries have to exist for all different languages. If you import only one language, the entries in other languages are overwritten.
Important: If files are exported and imported from an ISO project to an UTF8 project or vice versa, you have to select the right encoding for the file before importing the file. You can select the encoding, for example, via Notepad++.

The Automatically update existing DP types option causes all prompts that must be confirmed when changing existing data point types to be answered yes.

If you want to input data with alarm handling, activate the Load data with alert handling option. This deactivates alarm handling during input and reactivates it when input is complete.

If Alert handling without alert history is used, alert configs will be imported with a timestamp of 0. Therefore, the previous entry of this config in the configuration history is overwritten and the configuration history is not increased.

Restriction: The ASCII manager limit for import and export of large values (e.g. BLOBs) is 1MB.
Restriction: The option "Input data with alarm handling" has no effect on ASCII files in the formats V3 or V4.
Restriction: The maximum length of characters in a string value to be imported via the ASCII import is limited to 1 MB.
