Move License

Moving licenses between projects in the WinCC OA License Portal allows you to efficiently reallocate resources as your needs change.

This process ensures that the right licenses are available in the correct project or subgroup for your team.

Navigate to the source project where your licenses are currently stored.
For example, select the Available Licenses project.
Access the Licenses section within the source project.
Select the licenses you wish to move.
You can identify licenses by their descriptions or other details. Team members may have already prepared or labeled these licenses for clarity (e.g., 'Tunnel Vienna').
(Optional) Add or edit descriptions for the selected licenses to make them easier to identify.
For example, add 'Tunnel Vienna' as a description to the relevant license options.
Click the Move button.
Review your selection to ensure you have chosen the correct licenses.
Select the destination project from the dropdown menu.
All available groups and subgroups will be listed. Use the search bar to quickly find your target project if needed (e.g., 'WinCC OA Server 1 Vienna' in the 'Austria' subgroup).
Confirm the move.
The selected licenses will be transferred to the destination project and will no longer appear in the original project.
Verify the move by navigating to the destination project's Licenses section.
You should see the moved licenses listed in their new location.

The selected licenses have been successfully moved to the new project, ensuring your resources are organized and available where needed.
