Create Project

Projects in the WinCC OA License Portal are essential for organizing your containers efficiently. By creating projects within specific groups and subgroups, you keep your license structure clear and easy to manage.

Projects represent the lowest level in the group hierarchy and cannot have further subgroups beneath them.

Locate the Project Area in the License Portal.
You will find the Projects section at the bottom of the navigation tree on the left side of your screen.
Navigate to the relevant group or subgroup where you want to create the project.
For example, select the "Tunnel Group" and then "Austria" if you want to create a project for that region.
Select the Projects option within the chosen group.
Click Add New Project.
Enter a clear project name and description.
For example, name the project "WinCC OA Server 1" and add a description like "located in Vienna".
Confirm to create the project.
The group icons will update to visually confirm your new project.
Repeat the process for additional projects as needed.
For example, add "WinCC OA Server 2" in the "France" group with the description "located in Paris".

You have successfully created projects within your group structure. Projects are now visible at the lowest level of your hierarchy, helping you keep your WinCC OA containers organized and easy to find.
