Requirements

A valid license is required for the usage of the BACnet driver.
For information on the supported platforms for the BACnet driver see Supported Platforms of the most important Drivers.

Note: Only one BACnet driver installation on each computer is allowed due to the fact, that the driver must use port 47808 and blocks the port from the use of further BACnet drivers.

Note: The engineering/configuration of the driver must take place on the local machine (a configuration from a distributed system is not supported).

Installation

For set up the BACnet driver a standard installation of the WinCC OA version 3.8 or higher is required. See “Installation” for more information about how to install WinCC OA onto your computer.

For the use of the extended functionality of the BACnet object library (see also BACnet Object Library and HMI), the installation of the BACnet Addon is necessary.
