Setting of cyclic datasets

The configuration of cyclic datasets can also be made by a normal user without advanced configuration rights for the Communication Center. Cyclic datasets differ from normal alarm groups (see also Define alarm groups) by informing the user about the state of specific data point elements cyclic (for example, every 10 minutes) (not only when an alarm occurs as in case of normal alarm groups).

By clicking the button to open the panel for the configuration of cyclic datasets, you can create new cyclic datasets or modify already existing ones. The following panel is available for the configuration of cyclic datasets:

The following panel can be used to create or edit a cyclic dataset:

In this panel you set the dataset ID (an arbitrary number - is counted up when new groups are created). The dataset ID is composed of a four digit number combination (9999 possible datasets can thus be configured) like the PIN of a user (see also create users and assign devices). Select the desired data point group from the DP group combo box or create a new group, which is composed of the specific data point elements for the cyclic output of state information for the user, using the DP groups... button. The cyclic time (in minutes) is created via a spin button cycle time (the time is incremented/decremented by 10 minutes by default). In the lower part of the panel you set the devices to which the information should be transmitted (several devices can be added to the table).

For details on the data point groups and the associated configuration panels see chapter Data point groups, basics.
