        This chapter gives an overview of the necessary Requirements and Licensing details for the Dashboard.
      - Basic Configuration
        The Following steps must be taken to set up the Dashboard within a WinCC OA project:
      - Advanced Configuration
        The Following configuration settings are optional and should not be addressed for a basic setup of the Dashboard. They allow extended customization for advanced users or to address specifics of the plant's network configuration.
      - Login Options
        This chapter gives an overview of the available login options.
      - Dashboard Overview
        The Dashboard Overview is the central navigation view. It opens directly after Dashboard/topics/Dashboard_Overview_login.html and shows the general navigation and an overview of all Dashboards.
      - Widgets
        Widgets are the building blocks of the WinCC OA Dashboard, offering a comprehensive and flexible way to monitor and interact with project data.
        General Widget Settings
        This section describes the settings which are the same for most widgets.
        Alarm View Widget
        The Alarm View Widget provides an overview over all active alarms and alerts, similar to the Alert and Event screen.
        Bar Chart Widget
        The Bar Chart shows the current values of one or more datapoints and datapoint groups as bars.
        Button Widget
        The Button widget is used to set a datapoint value to a specified value upon click.
        Gantt Chart Widget
        The Gantt Chart provides a time-interval view of the datapoint value. The width of each bar shows the period a certain value was present.
        Gauge Widget
        The Gauge Widget shows the datapoint value via the needle deflection inside a graph.
        HTML Widget
        The HTML widget can be used to display an HTML file within the Dashboard.
        Hyperlink Widget
        The Hyperlink widget is used to provide a link to a Dashboard or external URL.
        iframe Widget
        The iframe widget can use the URL specified by the user.
        Image Widget
        The Image widget is used to display an image.
        Input Widget
        The Input widget is used to write data to a datapoint.
        KPI List Widget
        The KPI List Widget is used to display plant-specific key performance indicators that have previously been assigned to datapoints by the specific business logic.
        Label Widget
        The label widget is used to display a simple text.
        Line Chart Widget
        The line chart shows one or multiple datapoint values in a graph.
        Pie Chart Widget
        The Pie Chart Widget is used for visualization of data distribution though larger or smaller segments.
        Progressbar Widget
        The progress bar shows the state of one datapoint as a vertical bar.
        Set Point Widget
        The Set Point widget is used to display a current datapoint value and to incrementally increase or decrease it.
        Slider Widget
        The Slider widget is used to choose a value between two set limits for a datapoint.
        Switch Widget
        The Switch widget is used to switch between two different values on a datapoint.
        ULC UX Widget
        The ULC UX widget shows predefined panels via a ULC UX-connection.
        Video Widget
        The Video Widget displays a video stream in the Dashboard by utilizing the HTTP Server.
      - Example Gauge Dashboard
        This example guides you through creating a Dashboard showing a Gauge widget.
    - Mobile UI Application
- System Overview
  A panel for the diagnostics of a WinCC OA system.
- Alert and Event Screen (AEScreen)
  The alert and event panel (AEpanel) in WinCC OA is a standard panel and allows displaying alerts and events in table format.
- Variable Trend
  A set of panels and scripts used for the simplified display of trend curves and trend groups (up to 16 trend curves).
- Standard Symbols (STD_Symbols)
  Symbol library consisting of graphics objects for the quick display and design of system diagrams.
- Standard Object Library
  The WinCC OA Standard Object Library (in short: Stdlib) is a base framework that facilitates the creation and use of WinCC OA Libraries. The Stdlib provides templates for creating WinCC OA Libraries and offers a vast range of functions that make the use of a WinCC OA Library in a WinCC OA project easier.

ULC UX Widget

The ULC UX widget shows predefined panels via a ULC UX-connection.

Additional Requirements

In addition to the general Requirements and Licensing of the Dashboard, following requirements need to be considered:

For using the ULC UX widget, an explicit write permission bit needs to be configured, by using the config entry [wssServer] canWritePermissionBit. This bit must be set for the Dashboard user.
The Dashboard must be started in "Read/Write" mode, by adding the parameter ?dbrw to the URL of the Dasbhoard, e.g.:

A valid login token must be stored.
A UI Client license is required.

Settings

The ULC UX Widget can have the custom appearance settings of custom title, colors and controls.

Content

The ULC UX widget you can either Use Default Panel, which is the configured ULC UX default panel, or Choose Custom Panel. The custom panel can be selected from all panels within the project using the panel selector that pops up from the search icon.

Advanced

The default host for the ULC UX widget is the same as the host for the Dashboard itself. This can also be switched to a User-Defined Host, e.g.: a remote web server.

Note:

The UI arguments for the ULC UX widget within the Dashboard can be set with the config entry [ulcUX] dashboardUiArguments. This is independent of the arguments set for the standard ULC UX.
