iframe Widget

The iframe widget can use the URL specified by the user.

With this, the iframe widget can be used as a nested website within the Dashboard. The iframe increases security for the surrounding website, in the event that an external page has been negatively modified or hacked.

Settings

The iframe Widget can have the custom appearance settings of custom title, colors and controls.

Content

The page at the URL to be displayed can be chosen via the drop-down-selector. The address must be reachable from the application, or the page cannot be shown.

Advanced Settings

The iframe Widget can be set to allow for expansion to full screen. Set the check mark if you want to allow the website to use full screen mode within the widget. Enabling this will not run the widget in full screen mode, but will provide the option for the website. For example, if you want to nest a YouTube video and make it run full screen, using the check mark here will cause the video to go full screen to maximize it. Not using the option will only maximize the video in the space assigned to the widget.

API access can be granted to use other API functions in the widget.

The Sandbox parameters allowed for the Widget can be chosen:

The sandbox mode allows you to use advanced options to control the restrictions applied to the content embedded in the iframe widget. Check the sandbox checkbox to enable the sandbox mode. If the sandbox is set to false, the iframe widget loses the sandbox attribute. For more information on the available sandbox options, see the Mozilla documentation https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/iframe#attr-sandbox.

Additionally, one Referrer Policy can be chosen for the widget. It specifies which referred information to send when fetching the HTML file. For information on available options, see the Mozilla documentation https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/iframe#attr-referrerpolicy. This can be any one of:
