DP selector, basics

The datapoint selector allows you to select datapoints in four different ways: by groups (group selection by main group or subgroup; also based on filters defined in the group), by DPE filters, by alias name and by DP(E) description. You can resize the DP selector panels at runtime.

The main improvement to the DP selector is the enhanced filtering options (cf. dpSelector()) as displayed on these four tabs:

Tab Filters datapoints
Group tab by datapoint groups and their filter settings.
DPE tab by datapoint elements - corresponds to the old DP selector.
Description tab by the description of datapoint elements as specified in the _common config.
Alias tab by their alias names, as specified in the _common config.
CNS tab by the linked CNS elements.
