Today we'll walk through the process of moving licenses from one project to another within the new WinCC OA license portal.

In our example, we'll be transferring licenses from a project currently named "Available Licenses" to our WinCC OA Server 1 Vienna project, which is located in the Austria subgroup. So how do we do this?

First, navigate to the project where your licenses are currently stored. Once there, click on the Licenses section.

Now, you'll choose the specific licenses you wish to move. Sometimes, a team member might have already prepared or identified these licenses for you. When we say prepared, we mean they might have added descriptions or identified specific license options. For instance, these could be server basic licenses showing the amount of tags, UIs, or drivers you have.

A helpful tip: your team can add descriptions like "Tunnel Vienna" to license options, making them easier to identify later. You'll then see this description clearly displayed. Let's quickly demonstrate by adding "Tunnel Vienna" to three of these license options. This makes them instantly recognizable.

Now for the core task: moving the licenses. I know these three Tunnel Vienna license options need to be moved. Simply select them by clicking their checkboxes on the left side. Once selected, click the Move button. Here you'll get a chance to double-check that you've selected the correct license options.

Next, you'll choose your destination project. The dropdown menu will display all available groups and subgroups from your account that you can move licenses to. If you have many projects, you can use the search bar to quickly find your desired destination, narrowing down the dropdown options immediately. I want these three licenses in my WinCC OA Server 1 Vienna project.

After selecting it, I'll confirm the move. The licenses will then shift and they will no longer appear in the original project.

To verify, let's switch to our WinCC OA Server 1 Vienna project. Navigate to its Licenses section. And there they are—our three licenses successfully moved to their new home. It's that simple.
