NGA PostgreSQL® Backup and Restore

This chapter describes the NGA PostgreSQL® backup and restore feature.

The NGA database backup and restore feature allows database backups to be performed daily at a specified time to a local or remote location. It also allows for a backup to be performed weekly and/or monthly to a specified local or remote storage location on the selected day of the week and/or day of the month.

The user interface provides easy configuration and monitoring of the status of the automatic operations. In addition, the user interface offers the possibility to perform a backup to a selected location on manual command and the ability to restore a backup to recover the database.

Currently, the backup and restore functionality for the WinCC OA-managed PostgreSQL® database is available for the single and redundant projects on Windows.
