Summary and related chapters
The main purpose for datapoint grouping is to facilitate datapoint handling.
Accordingly, the DP selector has been designed to allow filtering by groups.
With the help of groups, it is easier to manage and process related datapoints. You can define datapoint groups any way you like but you can also define groups in groups, see the references below. For example, you could group all motors in a works hall into one group or all control valves, meters.
