PVSS00valarch - IMPL/SEVERE - Set should exist, but set file is not present - setting state to offline
Enclosed you'll find the explanation for a log-message which can occur during startup. The log-message is written to the PVSS_II.log-file.
PVSS00valarch(1), 2011.11.14 12:22:08.078, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, Ar#1:Set 443 should exist, but set file is not present - setting state to offline, [Archive.cpp:546]
Log-message with symbolic names:
PVSS00valarch(1), <TIMESTAMP>, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, Ar#<archive-number>:Set <setnumber> should exist, but set file is not present - setting state to offline, [Archive.cpp:546]
This log-message describes that an archive file is missing and therefore the state at the index-file AR_X (X is substituted with the archive-number) is corrected.
It can happen if archive-files are deleted manually while the project was stopped or when copying a project without all archive-files which are present at the original project.
Also when restoring an online-backup without all necessary archive-files this message can occur during startup.
In a redundant system this message can occur if the fileswitches at both servers are not synchronous. In rare cases this can happen if the fileswitches are made when the fillgrade-limit is reached instead of cyclic fileswitches.
To avoid this problem please ensure that always cyclic fileswitches are made.
