Is there a limit for the length of a datapoint name?
There is no hardcoded limit for the length of a datapoint or datapoint element name defined in WinCC OA.
You have to keep in keep in mind that longer names need more memory during runtime as the size of the DP identification, loaded by a WinCC OA manager, increases.
