Can the GIS Viewer work with each map that is in the ESRI-format?

In principle the GIS Viewer can handle each map in the ESRI-format. However you should mind that your shapes should be closed polygons. If this is not the case then some functions of the GIS Viewer won't have the desired effect (e.g. setShapeColorByName(), setShapeFillRGB() etc.)

To use a map (in ESRI-format) with the GIS Viewer the following files are necessary:
- .dbf-file
- .prj-file
- .shp-file
- .shx-file
