I have a WinCC server running on a windows machine.
Connecting to the wincc server with a winclient_http.ctl control works fine from windows machines,
but when I try it on a Linux machine (OpenSUSE 11.3), I get problems. The log on my linux box says
some libraries and/or scripts seem missing.
This is a very standard demo application, provided with 3.10SP1. So I must be doing something wrong.
What could it be?
Advice appreciated.

Re: Winclient http 3.10SP1 - OpenSuse 11.3 - Problems
You should manually copy the ctl-extentions from a linux installation to the 'PVSS_PATH/bin/linux' directory on the server.
Also the ewo's should be manually copied to the 'PVSS_PATH/bin/widgets/linux' directory on the server.

Thanks! BTW what are EWOs?
I'm new to the terminology.

EWO's can be found in the online help under 'Graphics editor (GEDI)' -> 'Complex graphics objects' -> 'EWO (External Widget Object)'.
It is basically comparable to activex, but can only be used for WinCC OA. And it can also be used under linux and solaris.
