How to list license capabilities

Hello,

I need a test, "how to list license information, capabilities and expiration date at the command line". i.e. once the vastly differing methods of license setup are completed, how can we check that it is properly activated for all managers and capabilities? How can I check when a license is set to expire, we might want a data point on this.

- This appears to retrun [""] on a licensed (dongle over virtualized USB) and a demo machine... not much help here.

You have to check /opt/WinCC_OA/3.16/shield.txt .
If expire has the value "0000.00.00;00:00:00,000" your shield will never expire. Otherwise it will expire after that given date.

If _Event.License.RemainingTime <= 10080 your Licence is invalid and the project runs in demo mode.

The DP element _Event.ReadLicense can only be set to trigger reading the license.
When using WinCC OA 3.16 or an older version you can simply read the shield file to see which license options are set.
