Hi,
At the moment, I am using WinCC OA 3.17 P004 - where NGA only supports writing to non redundancy-aware databases. I would like to know if there is a plan to upgrade NGA to support writing archived data into a single (external) Influx database.
Note: The intention is to use local influx databases for archiving of redundant SCADA servers and a single external influx database, where archived data would be kept for long term use.
best regards,
Matevž

Re: NGA support for redundancy-aware databases
We are currently setting up a test system to do tests with a single Influx DB for a redundant system.
The tests are made with the Enterprise InfluxDB. The open source type of Influx will not be supported according to the current plan.
When the tests will be finished is not defined right now. Therefore we cannot give you further details for the future plans.

Re: NGA support for redundancy-aware databases
Thank you for the reply.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason for using InfluxDB Enterprise is that it probably already has mechanisms in place that can correctly consolidate data sent to it from two redundant WinCC OA servers, as opposed to the Open-Source InfluxDB (which is sufficient for local archives)?

Re: NGA support for redundancy-aware databases
I have found some information where it is described that Influx Enterprise has some built-in-functionality for redundant databases.
This looks like to be one of the points for the decision.
