Hi,
We are using Windows User administration in our project. All the Windows Users and Group names are existing in the project.
Now we want to change the existing user name and group name in the active directory. After changes in the active directory all the user name and group name will get update by automatically or not.
Regards,
R.Parameshwaran.

Re: Modifying the Username and Group name in AD
Hi,
As I know, user name won't be updated automatically. After 60 minutes (checkADAuthIntervall config entry) your old user would be renamed internally to "<user_name> deleted in AD" and deactivated in WinCC OA. You would need to login with the new credentials from AD and that would create a fully new user (that means, archives won't be associated with this user because of the new UserID).
Btw, how did you manage to download all Windows Users from AD into WinCC OA? We had a major problem with that because you actually need to login with every user (via login.pnl) to create them into WinCC OA and that is not working well with distributive systems (if you want to keep the same UserID's between systems).
