Siemens IX

Siemens IX (Industrial Experience) is the Siemens corporate design system for industrial applications. It provides a comprehensive set of framework-agnostic Web Components including form controls, navigation elements, data tables, icons, and Apache ECharts-based charting components. Siemens IX supports light and dark theming, is accessible (WCAG-compliant), and works with any frontend framework. In WinCC OA, the WebUI Runtime and the Dashboard use Siemens IX as the standard UI component library, ensuring a consistent industrial look and feel. The design system is delivered as the npm package @siemens/ix with dedicated wrappers for Lit (Web Components) and other frameworks.
