Note:
In the following installation description is based on MS Excel 2003. In other versions of MS Excel, there may be variations in the Excel-specific applications (such as menu names, window titles, etc.).

The add-in for the Excel Tools must be registered in Excel via the menu option Extras > Add-In Manager.... To do this, use the Browse... button in the selection window to select the file MaPara.xla from the directory <wincc_oa_path>/data/xls_PowerConfig and confirm with OK. The Add-In is now automatically loaded whenever you start Excel and adds a new toolbar and menu (MaPara).

CAUTION:
If a higher WinCC OA version is installed after the registration of the add-in, the add-in has to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Otherwise, the correct installation path is not found. This is an MS error.
Important:
In a standard project, default certificates are generated for the root user. Mass configuration uses ASCII Manager in the background.

To use ASCII Manager in a standard project, you should either start it as the root user or generate new certificates for the user you want to use.

If the mass configuration Add-In is no longer needed in Excel and you do not want it to load automatically when Excel is started, uninstall the Add-In via the menu mentioned above (disable the check box WinCC OA Massenpara in the list of available Add-Ins). This can reduce the start-up time for Excel.
