Question: How does the S7Plus driver handle dtl data type

03.07.2026 08:39 by Ioannis Papakrivopoulos

In the PLC we have the timezone configured as UTC+3 and we are reading it with WinCC OA and using it as a heartbeat.

What I see is that WinCC is adding 3 hours to the time it reads. Does it expect the time to be in UTC? Is there some setting or config entry I can add to change that behavior?

We are sending the RD_LOC_T time, perhaps we should be sending RD_SYS_T?

Thank you for your help.

In the configuration for the S7Plus connection you can define how time stamps from the PLC shall be handled.
Maybe you can use this option to solve the issue.
