dpConnect call stack / queue

Post by Dag-Are.Trydal@nov.com »

Is there a way to specify the maximum amount of the queue for speciffic connects (Not via the global config entry ctrlMaxPending) ?

For most of my dpConnects I like the queue to be long, but there are certain connects I'd like the queue to be very short. These are typicallly dpConnects that has to do with the UI, wihich often takes "long" time to execute once.

If possible, is this setting per "dpConnect" or per datapoint-element?

Is there a way to stop executing a callback if a new callback has been triggered?

You can not configure it per dpConnect.
However, in general, if you have a lot of pendings, then there is something wrong with your system or your scripts.

What you could do is to store the information in the callback in some dyn_ array, then startThread() your own sub-callback (use synchronized), and be done.
In your first callback you then have control over the number of values you store in your dyn_
