TIA importer

With the release of WinCC OA 3.15 patch 7 , there is a new feature, TIA Portal Import Tools.

I managed to scan my tia portal project via the SIMATIC SCADA Export ("Symbolic" button)

But when I clicked the "Importer" button there was nothing although I managed to scan the project via the symbolic button.

Is there any specific procedure how this one works? The online help does not help a lot.

I tried it with and without the real plc (1500) but it does not work. There are instance (fc,fcb,db) in the plc, so it should work according to the manual.

Anyone know the solution?

What do you mean by saying "there was nothing" ? Compared to the documentation in Online Help chapter "Drivers -> S7Plus -> TIA Importer" do you get a dialog after clicking "Importer" showing the available FB/UDT plus according DB instances or don't you get the dialog?

No dialog -> please check the log viewer for error messages of the corresponding UI manager.

Dialog, but empty tree on the left -> the TIA Importer tool needs Type-Instance-related data in the selected TIA Portal project, e.g. Instance datablocks of some FB or UDT. If the TIA project only contains global datablocks you won't see any data in the Importer dialog.

there is dialog ...... but i don't know how to configure instance datablocks of some FB OR UDT inside the TIA ....... can you help me with that ?

No V15 is actually not supported. Hope this will be soon available.
Only V13 (SP1) and V14 (SP1) are supported at the moment
