Severe problem with Archive when starting WinCC

Post by schoenmakers »

Hi,

when I start WinCC (3.10, on a Linux system) I get the following error:

PVSS00valarch(2), 2013.08.07 21:45:32.819, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, Ar#2: Can't retrieve the start time of next set after set 5028 during reading dynamic header , [Archive.cpp:522]
PVSS00valarch(2), 2013.08.07 21:45:32.819, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, Can't open archive (ErrNum=1), Reading from archiv header failed, [Archive.cpp:251]
PVSS00valarch(2), 2013.08.07 21:45:32.820, IMPL, SEVERE, 54, Unexpected state, Couldn't initialize archive instance... terminating!, [ArchivWrapper.cpp:1044]

I cannot start the para tool to investigate the archive, so I'm a bit lost to what I can do. Perhaps I can try to remove the existing archive files (there may be file corruption) but which are the files to remove, then?

Any help appreciated!

Hi all,

the problem seems to be hardware after all; an extensive disk check showed bad sectors on the disk containing the archive files, so we better replace the disk first.
