Export/import of historical data

Post by Houns »

Hello,

we want to export/import historical data from the history db.
We need this function because we like to extract data from the system at our customers and import it in our development project for analysis.

Reading the historical data is no problem.
But how can I insert it in our development project with the original timestamps?

I tried to use "dpSetTimed".
But it only works for the corrected values and only if the archiving in the development project was already active for the historical timestamp.

Is there a chance to do it this way or do we need a completely different approach?

Kind regards

Houns

As suggested you can copy the complete DB folder to do analysis "offline".
You have to ensure that the language settings of the projects are identical. Otherwise, the project with the backuped database will not start.

In WinCC OA an original value can only be set with the same time as the last one or a newer time.
If you want to write values with an older timestamp you have to write a correction value.
