Issue restarting a project

Post by sblancha »

Hello,

Restarting a project I have the below error:
FATAL, 54, Unexpected state, DataManager, checkStatusFile, Last database repair was not successful, restore backup and remove file dbase.status! Exiting...

where/what is the file 'dbase.status' ?

Cheers,
Sebastien

Sorry the message was sent to quickly. I found the file but actually each time my pc is shutdown without stopping properly the project I have this error and I need to restore backup and then delete this file and then restart again.
With other projects I do not have this issue (They restart automatically after the restore DB process).
How to fix permanently this issue?

Online backup path was not accessible, seems this made the restart of project failed.

Fine Now.

Sorry for the spam topic!

If this log message occurs the system does not try to copy automatically data from the backup device to the project database.
The log message has nothing do with the accessibility of the backup device.

If the project is not stopped properly the Data Manager detects during startup that the database was not closed and will try to do a repair of the database.
When repairing the database fails you will get the log messages a described in the first posting.

Please ensure that the project and the computer is shutdown correctly all the time.
Shutting down the computer without stopping WinCC OA may cause problems with the database. In the worst case you will not be able to start the project again.
