Mobile UI/Desktop UI server connection

Post by Balewski »

Hi Everyone,

I am using a desktop UI clients on some operators computers that are in the same network as server. I wanted also to use mobile UI from outside the secured network.
when I'm using the config.webclient with entry:

[general]
data = "server1"
event = "server1"
mxProxy = "server1 myProxy:5678 cert"

i am able to connect via mobile UI but not from the Desktop UI

When i am not using proxy i can connect via Desktop byt cannot by Mobile UI.
Any suggestions?

Thank you very much in advance.

I would setup an additional mxproxy/https server in a DMZ, which provides the config for the Mobile UIs. And setup the current https server for the Desktop UIs.

Dear Mr. Schijndel,
to realize mxproxy/https server on a different machine in a DMZ, do I then need an extra license to run the service?

In WinCC OA you need a license for the server. If one or several WinCC OA processes are started on a remote machine an additional license is not needed.
