For a redundant project you always need 2 hosts. If you have only 1 machine you can possibly run 2 virtual machines to test a redundant system.
In a plant environment you must have 2 hosts for a redundant system.

If it is only about running (part of) a redundant project, then an invalid address could be used as partner to make it a redundant project.

If you want to run only one host of a redundant project please define a valid hostname/IP address for the other host at the entries data/event in the config file.
When an unknown hostname/IP address is defined resolving the information will possibly take longer which leads to some delays and unexpected behaviour during startup and runtime.
