[3.18] CENTOS

Post by coolen »

Is CENTOS not longer supported in 3.18 ? I only see an RHEL download, not the usable RHEL/CENTOS anymore.

Which operating systems are supported for a specific WinCC OA version you can find in the documentation in chapter "Installation" and the sub chapter "Software requirements".

E.g. the information for WinCC OA 3.18 P002
https://www.winccoa.com/documentation/W ... en-03.html

Hello.

No, it is no longer supported.
See https://www.winccoa.com/news/detail/dis ... rview.html for the reason.

Hi,

You can use Oracle Linux OS 8, it seems to be a good replacement for CentOS. At least, we have been using it for some time with WinCC-OA v3.18 with no issues so far.

Yes because Oracle Linux 8 is binary compatible with Red Hat Linux 8
