WinCC OA Video

Post by uxout »

Hello !
I want to add RTSP stream into WinCC OA via the WinCC OA Video feature but I can't make it work as properly.
I'm running WinCC OA 3.15P15 on Windows.
I've tried with a dongle licence and also without licence (demo licence).
I've copied the files LicenseFeatures.opt_BAK1 to LicenseFeatures.opt and LicenseFeatures.sgn_BAK1 to LicenseFeatures.sgn from the xxx/vimacc/data/features/license to WinCC_OA directory.

Anyone knows why can't I use the VimAcc module?

Hi,

your shared files are blocked for access and maybe important to understand, what's exactly is not working.
* What is the object explorer looks like?
* Which steps did you performed to make it running?
* Did you installed it in a clean way or did you performed an update?
* Did you imported the encryption key from vimacc to your OA project?

Best Regards,

Hello,

I just updated the file sharing options, you should be able to see the pictures.

- The object explorer looks like in my first screenshot.

- I had a previous WinCC OA 3.15 installed on my computer. So was Vimacc.
I copied the 2 files LicenseFeatures.opt_BAK1 and LicenseFeatures.sgn_BAK1 from C:\\vimacc\\data\\features\\license to C:\\Siemens\\Automation\\WinCC_OA\\3.15 and renamed them without _BAK1.
I created a new WinCC OA project and added VIDEO_3.15 as sub project.
I added the 2 managers WCCOAvideoOA and WCCOAvideoOA -f VIDEO_OA_scripts.lst
I started the project and imported VIDEO_OA_complete.dpl from the VIDEO_3.15\\dplist\\
That's all, anything i forgot to do?

- My WinCC OA installation got several update from 3.15P1, do you think it is due to the updates?

- Yes, i guess it is what I mentioned earlier, right?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

this looks like an open issue in current patches of 3.15, when updating from further uncrypted to the new fully encrypted video installation (including stream & recording encryption).

Please perform the following steps to get a clean installation of WinCC OA Video:
- Open the Windows menu "Apps & Features" (first option when pressing + 'X')
- Select "WinCC OA 3.15", trigger "Change" and use the selection option to adjust the installation.
> Deselect the option "Video Add-On"
> Let the setup perform the changes.
- Deinstall "vimaccOA 2.2.4.*"
- Delete the folder "C:\\vimacc"
- Perform the setup of "WinCC OA 3.15" again from the "Apps & Features" menu with the option to adjust the installed components.
> Select the option "Video Add-On"
> Let the setup perform the changes.

To make your project running, please perform the following additional steps:
- Delete a maybe existing file "vimacc_keys.pem" from the folder "/data/videoOA" in your project path.
- Use the button "Import vimacc keys" in the Video Object Explorer to import encryption keys to your project AND restart the Video Manager.

Please give a short feedback, if these steps fixes the issue.

PS:
Do not copy any LicenseFeatures files from vimacc folder to the WinCC OA folder. This is not needed and does not help in any kind.
