Now, rpmfind tells me this packages was included in OpenSuse 13.2. How do I install WinCC OA on newer OpenSuse releases?
On what release of OpenSuse is WinCC OA precisely tested?
During the installation I ignored the warnings about the missing dependencies. Afterwards I installed the 'community' package mentioned above and the demo applications seems to start fine now (at first sight).
The document/help files do not work at the moment.
Ill continue to do some tweaking/experimentation and post the results here.
I tested it in a VM by adding the ganglia:musescore2 repository. Install works. OA runs. While OA is not officially supported on Leap, it seems that Leap may be better supported by Novell than 13.2. Is ETM looking into supporting Leap?
WinCC OA 3.15 will be available for Linux for RHEL7/CentOS7 and SLES12/openSuse Leap 42. RHEL and CentOS share a set of RPMs as do SLES and openSuse Leap. So in 3.15 there will be again 2 different sets of RPMs for Linux. At least thats the plan for now.
Working on openSuse 13.2, while trying to install WinCC 3.14, I get some error messages like
"'_tmpRPMcache_:WinCC_OA_3.14-applications-opensuse=0:0-11' not found in package names.. No provider of _tmpRPMcache_:WinCC_OA_3.14-applications-opensuse=0:0-11' found. Nothing to do.
Is this because of the related version is no more supported?
