Hello, I'm having a strange behaviour in my redoundant system.
We have a system with the following configuration:
- 2 Redundant servers
- 15000 data points
- 1 parametrization
- 5 user interfaces
- 1 process connection driver for Modbus TCP communication protocol
Well, we are facing a few strange things:
- We have the same application in both servers. We started the application in both server, they synchronized themselves and we started the user interface vision. The server 1 is freezing the panels in around each 10 seconds. The system is working around 10 seconds and freezing for another 8-10 seconds. This behaviour is continuous. However, in server 2 everything went well, we don't have any freezing, the alarm page and the alert/alarm row when we have an alarm are blinking continously without any image freeze or fails. The remote UIs, if we connect to server 1 have the similar problem but the freezing during a little bit more. If we connect the remote UIs to server 2 we don't have the problem.
Firstly we suspected that could be something in the application we developed but the most strange thing is we are having this freezing behaviour in the gedi too.
We have an important FAT next week and so we have an extreme urgence to solve this problem. Is there any hint you could provide for helping us identifying/solving the problem?

Hello,
maybe there is a problem with the resolution of IP-adresses/hostnames for the computers used for the WinCC OA system.
Please check if all the computers are defined in the hosts-file for the operating system: /system32/drivers/etc/hosts.
If this does not solve the problem please contact the software vendor for your project for further assistance.

Hello Leopold,
thank you for your answer. In the config files I replaced the names (that I have define in the host) of the computers for the IPs and it works. I don't understand why, yet, but I will research the cause of this problem. (in the host file I put the IP and name like it'is in the help).
Any way, thank you for your help one more time.
