Re: Planned release date for WinCC OA v3.17

Hi all, I remember that on the old portal it was a good overview article with illustrations of the roadmap mentioned above. Something like, "One minor version every 1.5 years, two feature packs and six patches per a year for every release, etc." I can't find it anymore, could anyone share the link, ...

Re: Add XML Fragment to Existing XML

Hi Nils, There is a set of functions for manipulating XML data in a more convenient way than parsing it by yourself. Take a look at the chapter "CONTROL --> Types of functions --> XML Control Extension". At first glance, those functions are not obvious but they are quite handy. Regards, Leonid Solovev

Re: Table scrolls down when it loads the data

Hi, it's possible to point the table to a defined position with a "lineVisible" property. You can use it right after updating your table. TABLE1.lineVisible(0); Moreover, there is a property "lineRangeVisible" which returns currently visible range. You might want to use it for even smoother user exp...

Re: How to disable the spacebar

Hi. Unfortunately, it seems to be some OS-default setting for those default widgets (buttons, checkboxes etc.) and I didn't find a way of disabling or catching it inside WinCC OA (for example, with event mapping into "Clicked"). But there is a very dirty workaround to disable spacebar on your panel....

Re: how to make top level window.

Yeah, that "windowFlags" property was introduced in 3.15, that's why you couldn't find it. Unfortunately, I don't know a nice way of bringing the panel on top but there are functions to look at: - setInputFocus() might help if you have some common shape on your child panels but I'm not sure if that ...

Re: how to make top level window.

Hi, Enabling that flag would make a panel always on top. And I'm not sure if it's possible to disable that flag during runtime. Just want to mention that there could be a possible problem that the most of system panels are not using that flag (for example, error messages). You should keep in mind a ...

Re: Trends - stacking curves and ruler tooltip

Hi Tom, 1. You just need to override the "RightMousePressed" event with some dummy code main(mapping event) { // } 2/3. There is a panel into the installation folder (/panels/trendRulerPanel.pnl) which could be used to fully customize your ruler popup (always keep in mind diff ruler while changing t...

Re: Modifying the Username and Group name in AD

Hi, As I know, user name won't be updated automatically. After 60 minutes (checkADAuthIntervall config entry) your old user would be renamed internally to "<user_name> deleted in AD" and deactivated in WinCC OA. You would need to login with the new credentials from AD and that would create a fully n...

Re: Trying to hide minimize and maximize buttons

Hi Frenk,

Why do you need to stop the panel from being updated? windowFlags is working fine for me without any changes to updatesEnabled property and I think that is what causes the panel to blink.
