Re: S7Plus limits
It is version 3.16. I'm in the process of figuring out exactly how many tags really need this update rate, but mostly I'm wanting to know what the best practice is for grabbing large numbers of tags from a single source? Is there anything I should try to do inside OA to optimize this? My understandi...

S7Plus limits
How many tags can you realistically get from one PLC on s7 plus? I have a large project grabbing around 23k tags from a 1518 and I'm running into situations where I don't see updates for 10-12 seconds in the PLC after setting a value in OA. What is the best practice for grabbing this many tags from ...

Re: Gedi closing immediately
Currently they're both on 3.16 patch 12. I thought device management only really applied to the desktop and mobile UIs? I'm using a thick client on my side running -localLicense so I can use my para to configure the server. I was using the same machine before but with mxProxy and it worked fine.

Gedi closing immediately
I have a remote para license and have been working remotely through mxProxy for a while now with no issues. Recently, the customer gave me VPN access onto their network. I removed the mxProxy line from my remote config project, and it connects, but gedi just flashes up and immediately closes. Is the...

Scaling issues in windows 10 on IPC227E
For some reason the scaling on my embedded modules doesn't work once I move my project to a windows 10 IPC. On my dev machine the responsive templates were working perfectly, and I could resize the main window to whatever size I wanted without creating scroll bars on my main embedded module. On the ...

S7 driver with strings
I've noticed a problem with the S7 driver and the "useStringLengthInfo" config. I'll try to explain what I've found: 1. When you read a string tag with the auto length, it is actually reading all 254 bytes that a max string could have. 2. If your string happens to fall within 254 bytes of ...

Trend Line type for stale values
<t>The trend object seems to automatically change the trend line to dash dot dot when the current timestamp on a DPE is less than the current time. This normally doesn't bother me at all, but I'm trying to make a trend with two extra curves that show a high and low setpoint. If I directly connect th...
