How do I Encrypt Communications from a Webserver?

We have a setup on a customer's site with a main WinCC OA server in a secure network (dedicated subnet) with a second PC acting as a WebServer. All users connect to the system via the WebServer. There is a firewall between MainServer and WebServer that permits access to the MainServer only from the ...

Re: Windows AD Authentication - User Names with Spaces

Thanks everyone for your help, but I have now found out what the problem is, and what I need to do to get correct handling after a user changes their domain password. It seems to me that the function OaAuthMethodAD::getMustCreateUser is doing two separate things. Most obviously it is indicating whet...

Re: Windows AD Authentication - User Names with Spaces

Thanks for the reply, sorry it has taken me so long to try out your suggestion - while working at home, I do not have a domain controller to use. But I can now get to work some days, and I have tried implementing my own isUserVerified function as you suggest. I can see that it is getting called but ...

Windows AD Authentication - User Names with Spaces

Hi everyone. We have a customer who has an Active Directory where all their users have spaces in their names, e.g. "John Smith". WinCC OA AD authentication does not like this, because OA usernames do not support spaces. So I have tried implementing UserDefined authentication to bridge the ...

Re: Alarm Filtering by State

Alex, thanks for the response, but how do I filter by _act_state? Will I need to use a HOOK function (HOOK_aes_modifyQuery I would guess) to get at the raw SQL to apply the filter that I want?
