Thanks for this.
I forgot to mention that we are using version 3.15. Is the client widget available in this version?
If not, are there any alternative ways of implementing this (via a netGet command or a system call)?
Thanks,
Vaso

ULC & File downloads
Hi, We have a system with a single server and a number of ULCs and desktop UIs. We are using the built in Trend functions and panels, where we are able to save trends via the desktop UI to the local machine. This is not possible with the ULC. My understanding is that all file operations are executed...

Re: Redundancy - Both servers active
Thanks Leopold, that's really helpful. On a similar note, we also have redundant video servers. Are you able to tell me how long the connection between the duty SCADA server and the and active video server has to be down before the duty SCADA server (video manager) instructs the redundant video serv...

Re: Redundancy - Both servers active
Thanks Aurélien.
I was wondering how long it takes for both partners to become active? Is it immediately as soon as the servers detect the broken link, or after X number of seconds (where X can be configured)?
Thanks,
Vaso

Redundancy - Both servers active
Hi,
In a redundant system if the redundancy partners lose the connection to each other, both WinCC OA projects become active.
Do you know how long it takes before the standby switches to active?
Thanks,
Vaso

V3.17 - Windows Compatibility
Hi,
Is version 3.17 compatible with Windows server 2012 R?
It's not listed under "Software Requirements" within the help file, so I just want to confirm that it's not supported anymore.
Thanks,
Vaso

Desktop UI - Failing to connect
Hi, I've been trying to install a desktop UI application on an HMI running Windows 7. I've installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 for Windows 7, as part of the Desktop UI installation. The problem I'm facing is that when I'm trying to connect to the server from the Windows 7 HMI I get the followin...

Re: Endpoint Protection for 3.15
Hi Leopold,
Thanks for the reply.
Initially our client wanted to use Microsoft Defender ATP, but since it's not in the list of approved vendors that WinCC OA was tested with, we decided not to.
Have you got any plans to test WinCC OA with Microsoft Defender ATP in the future?
Thanks,
Vaso

Re: TLS/SSL Encryption Algorithms
Hi Leopold, Thanks for the response. Does the same apply to version 3.15, as this is the version I'm interested in? In terms if the pre-defined certificates (the default certificates that are generated when creating a project), is the same AES256 algorithm used and with what length ? Many thanks, Vaso
