The Reporting feature allows you to create reports in XML format. Therefore, add the WinCC OA Reporting Manager to your project. Historical data can be queried via the Reporting manager by using the SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface. - XML Reporting
  The Reporting feature allows you to create reports in XML format. Therefore, add the WinCC OA Reporting Manager to your project. Historical data can be queried via the Reporting manager by using the SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) interface. SOAP is a network protocol which allows sending data in XML format between systems.
- WinCC OA Excel Report
  WinCC OA Excel Report, is a program extension of MS Excel for integrated data evaluation and protocol generation with WinCC OA archive data. Reports can be created with the WinCC OA Excel Report. Templates are used for the reports. If a report is to be generated over a defined period of time, the system accesses the template and automatically fills it with data from the process database. Reports can also be created, printed and saved on a scheduled basis without requiring user access.
- REST Reporting API
  The REST Reporting API is integrated into the Standard web server and can be activated via the config entry [restRporting] enabled.

Notes and restrictions

This chapter describes important notes and restrictions regarding the BIRT tool:

HTTPS cannot be used with the free version of BIRT. The config entry httpsPort = 443 is set by default. Therefore, specify another port by using the config entry httpPort.
When defining the data point element parameter of a function, no configs are allowed (for example, ExampleDP.value:_original.._value cannot be used). You can, however, specify a data point element, for example, ExampleDp.value.
Scheduling is not supported
Dashboarding of live data is not supported
Only historical data can be queried
