Remote driver project

To create a new remote driver project, you first need to create a new WinCC OA project on your remote server. In the New project panel the option Remote driver project is selected.

After continuing to the General settings panel with a click on the Next button, enter the project name manually and select a path to save the new project by clicking on the push button (please refer to the figure below). The language selection is disabled, since the languages defined in the server project are automatically used for the remote driver project.

In the panel Settings of the remote driver project (seen in the figure below), the server name including the full path must be entered must be entered in the field Server project . Make sure that this path is accessible from the remote server.

In the drop-down list you can select a corresponding driver. The manager number can be either selected by clicking on the arrow upwards / downwards or entered directly between 1 and 254.

CAUTION:

For remote projects, the WinCC OA version used on server and client must be the same.

Note:

Note that you have to specify the server name for the remote server project correctly since the correctness of the server name is not checked. A check is executed whether the server name was specified (is not empty).
