Requirements
- Install Excel Report. The Excel report is part of the WinCC OA installation (WinCC OA Add-ons option).
- Windows Operating System
- Correctly installed version of MS Excel - see chapter Software requirements.
- Use of the "History DB" (WCCOAvalarch), "RDB Archiving" (WCCOArdb) or NextGen Archiver (NGA).
- You will need your own license to run Excel Report.
Important:
Note that if you use statistical functions and
have specified the "Always start calculation at" time on the synchronization tab of the data
point function, the start time for the report has to be the same as the "Always start
calculation at" time of the DP function (otherwise, the report won't get the required
data).
Warning messages appear at the start of the Excel Report if any of the following conditions are not met:
- Missing License: The button to start the Excel report is disabled if the license is missing.
- Excel installation: Checks if Excel is installed on the system.
- Excel version: Verifies that Excel has the correct bit version (32/64-bit) as required by the registered COM manager.
- COM manager registration: Confirms that the COM manager is registered with the correct version.
- Check availability: Determines whether these checks can be performed.
Example of a warning message:
WCCOAui (1), 2025.02.25 08:57:22.079, CTRL, WARNING, 54, Unexpected state,
Potential version mismatch between registered COM Manager and WinCC OA, report may not run,
"C:\Siemens\Automation\WinCC_OA\3.19\bin\WCCOAcom.dll"
This error indicates that the COM manager for 3.19 is registered instead of the 3.21 version.
