I'll show you how to remove licenses from a container in the WinCC OA license portal. Let me guide you through this process step by step.

Let's begin! First, select your project. In this demonstration, I'm working with Server 2. Let's examine the container first. Here we have our container. In this scenario, we have a user interface client license that's no longer needed by the operator. We'll remove it so it can be utilized in another project.

Looking at our container, you can see we have two UI client licenses. I'm in the correct project now. I've already located the license container and identified which license needs to be removed. This preparation is crucial.

Next, enable modifications. Click to enable changes. Now the project is ready for editing. Perfect! Navigate to 'Licenses' instead of 'License Containers.' Clear any filters by removing the search for available licenses. This shows all licenses within the project.

I can now see the user interface license I need, which is currently activated in my Water Project container. Let's verify this. The container is named 'Water Project,' and this is our target UI license.

Now for the removal process: Click the 'Edit' button. Review the license details to ensure everything's correct. Scroll down to find 'Remove from container.' Click this button to initiate the removal. A confirmation message will appear: "Do you want to remove the following licenses?" Select 'Yes.' The license will show as 'assigned configuration' temporarily while the front-end syncs with the back-end. A refresh would show it as 'available,' but first, release the changes.

Click 'Release changes.' You'll see "Project successfully published." Let's return to the licenses section. There we go! The system has now processed all license information updates. Now you can see our UI license is listed as available. While other licenses remain activated, this one is now free to use.

The removal process is complete and successful!
