Requirements and Installation

• Supported compiler version - see Software requirements.
• API option installed with WinCC OA setup.
• You need a license for the API.
• Installed cmake build generator.

Windows

During installation on Windows there is a dialog to install individual components of WinCC OA . Check the check box to install the API.WinCC OA API installs the API. The API is installed in <wincc_oa_path>/api by default. You can also specify any other target directory, for example, C:/ => API is installed to C:/api.

Linux

During installation on Linux there is a dialog to install individual components of. Check the check box to install the API.WinCC OA API installs the API. The API is installed in opt/WinCC_OA/<version>/api directory.
