What is the best way to integrate the communication-center in a distributed system. There are more than 10 systems and 1 central system.
IN the help file I couldn't find usefull information. May be I missed it.
Actually it looks like that the best solution seems to be one (1) communication-center in the central-system. And a distributed systems do not run a com-center.
In the alarm-group all DPs needs to be assigned. This could be a lot because every distr-system has defined many alerts.
What about the network traffic here between central-system and distr-system? Is it a problem to assign many DPs in the alarm-group?

Re: communication center and distributed systems
Hello,
I had a look at the online help. At the prerequisites for the communcation center is described that a distributed system can be used. If you've defined that a datapoint-element (with an _alert_hdl-config) shall be used for the alarming, the same datapoint-element from a distributed system will also be added to the datapoint-list.
A traffic between the distributed system will only occur if an alert (included in the datapoint list for the communication center) is raised or changed (hotlink for a connect-function).
