About API License.. (for custom driver or custom manager)

Post by kiducduc »

Hello.

We are using WinCC OA 3.14 with license as below shield file on server (Windows 2012 Standard R2).

However, when I apply custom manager (API Manager for WinCC OA 3.14 developed by visual studio 2013) on WinCC OA 3.14 project of that server,

error message occur (as attached screen shot image) and the custom manager can not be started.

Then I guess our license key don't have 'api' license.

But, our server is already using custom driver (API driver for WinCC OA 3.14 developed by visual studio 2013), and it works well.

So, my question is

1. What is difference between API driver and API manager in respect of license.
2. In this situation, what can I do for using API manager on server. (can I buy only 'api' without another options?)

Hi,

In order to run a custom API (manager or driver), you need following entry in your shield file:
api = 1

Which you don't have, thus you cannot start it at the moment :unsure:
