3.12 to be upgrade with latest one

Hi,

We want to upgrade current 3.12 to 3.15 or latest one. current application 3.12 is working on 100k IOs.

Query's as below.
1. What kind of technical difficulties or challenges expected during upgradation.
2. For this upgradation again we have purchase licensed or exiting can be retain.
3. Can we have web interface module which can be access from any open browsers.

1) In the best case scenario there are no difficulties or challenges during the upgrade, but it depends on your application.
a) The documentation of the new version contains the chapters 'Notes for Upgrading ...' and '... Version Incompabilities', which gives a more extended list of notes.
b) Any modified standard libraries has to be synchronized with the current libraries or moved temporary.
c) Custom developed WinCC OA managers/libraries must be recompiled with the new version.
2) It depends on your license. I am not a sales person, so if I am correct it is like this. If you license contains 'update = 1', then it could be used with the new version. If there is a current maintenance contract for the project, you could request a new license. Otherwise a new license needs to be purchased.
3) The UI options are the same as with 3.12, however the 'Ultralight Client' got replaced by 'ULC UX'.

Yes, the same information is valid for redundant systems.
In the WinCC OA Documenation you find the information how to make an upgrade of a project in chapter Project administration --> Project administration --> Update or patch project.
