Start/stop driver/manager

Post by jonred »

Hi,
I have a redundant system communicating to a Siemens plc via iec 104. Because of the limitations of the plc, both servers of winccoa communicate via the same port. The problem is the plc Switch between the servers, so the active server lose communication. So, the communication switches from one driver to another, but the active server does not change. So I want to have active only the driver/driver Manger of the active server. I have the ctrl function to detect the active server, but I don't know how to activate or deactivate the driver. How can I do it?
Thank you very much

Try the config entry "sendStartDTwhenPassive = 0" in the IEC section of your driver [iec_x].

Hi,

Normally the Standard WinCC OA IEC driver will take of redundant functionality active/passive server switch over.

But in your case there is some configuration issue.

Could you please share with me the screenshot of IEC driver configuration and PLC IEC block configuration.

Some questions:

- You are using redundant server or DRS server
- Send the Screen shot of IEC communication block in Simatic manager
- Net pro configuration screen shot
- console screen shot

In the panel for configuring the IEC connection you can define if the driver shall switch automatically (combobox above the connection definition).
Please check which settings you have made in the panel.

Which connection state is displayed for the connection of server 1 and server 2 if everything is working correctly?
